Ratings and Comments
Exterior – 3.5/5
Since the exterior is the only part of the restaurant you interact with, it’s great that it’s well-designed. The mix of modern and traditional Japanese elements creates an inviting look. All the rice balls are displayed up front, making it easy to browse before making a selection.
I’ve visited multiple times, and each time, the food area has been consistently clean and well-organized.
Interior – N/A
There is no indoor seating—behind the service counter is just the kitchen.
Menu/Price – 3.5/5
There’s a nice variety of rice balls, differing in construction, fillings, and size. The pricing varies depending on your selection. I feel like the more basic onigiris are very reasonable while the more complex ones start to get a little expensive.
They also offer a hearty and healthy meat and vegetable soup, which is a great addition to the menu.
Drinks – N/A
I don’t believe they sell drinks, or if they do, it’s not a major focus of the restaurant.
Food – 3.5/5
I love these rice balls—they’re definitely a step above what you’d find at a combini (convenience store). I’ve tried the shrimp tempura with egg, spam egg and cheese, and the fluffy thick egg, and all were excellent. I also tried the Saikyo-Miso soup, which contained a mix of meat and vegetables—very comforting and flavorful.
The only drawback is that the rice balls are pre-made and sit on the serving counter, so they aren’t particularly fresh when you get them. They’re still made the same day, likely within a few hours, but some ingredients may get a little soggy from sitting in plastic wrap for too long.
Staff – 4/5
The only staff interaction is with the cashier, but in my experience, they’ve always been kind, helpful, and efficient.
Restroom – N/A
No restroom available.
Conclusion – 3.5/5
Since this is a quick-service restaurant, the food is the biggest factor in the rating. Their onigiris are very good but not great—better than a convenience store but still not at the very top tier.
