Ratings and Comments

Exterior – N/A
Restaurant is on the upper floor of a building. There is really no exterior to rate fairly, but I will point out, the stairs and elevator leading up to the restaurant are not in the best condition.

Interior – 3.5/5
The interior is modern, clean, and tables are spaced out enough to be comfortable. There is a combination of standard tables and booths that are like a semi-private room. Beyond those facts, there is nothing else that stands out.

Menu/Price – 4/5
The menu and offerings at the restaurant are quite extensive—shabu-shabu meats and seafood, sushi, fried food, and desserts. Ordering is executed by inputting your desired choices on your smartphone. The system is not perfect, but since there are so many options, it is nice to be able to make all of your selections at your own leisure. I feel like a la carte is only a good option if you don’t plan on eating very much. Otherwise, I definitely recommend opting for the AYCE option so you can try a little bit of everything. The pricing is pretty reasonable depending on what level you go for.

Drinks – 3.5/5
They have a lot of drinks, but I only ordered a Coke. My focus today was the food!

Food – 4/5
The food was fantastic. Here is everything I tried:

  • My two shabu-shabu broths
    • Pork bone kimchi
    • Ultimate Japanese soup stock
  • Sushi & seafood
    • Bluefin tuna sushi
    • Salmon sushi
    • Wagyu sushi
    • Octopus sushi
    • Salted beef tongue sushi
    • Shrimp
  • Meats & hotpot ingredients
    • Chicken
    • Pork shoulder loin
    • Chicken thigh
    • Dumplings
    • Fried fugu
    • Assorted vegetables
  • Noodles & sides
    • Chinese noodles
    • Udon noodles
    • Pickled cucumber
    • Thick omelet

The sushi was very fresh and my favorite part of the meal. Everything related to the shabu-shabu was also good, and I preferred the pork bone kimchi broth between the two. My favorite items included bluefin tuna, wagyu sushi, and thick omelet. One item I could do without on my next visit was the fried fugu. The hunks of fish were very large and a little dry.

Staff – 4/5
The staff were very kind and attentive during my visit. There are a lot of dishes to bring out, and they have to pay attention to the state of your shabu-shabu broth, as well as the self-serve vegetables and sauces. Despite all of this craziness going on, they were quick and courteous.

Restroom – 3.5/5
Small but clean. Equipped with a bidet and paper towels.

Conclusion – 4/5
I opted for the 4,300 Yen course, and I felt like I got a lot of value for my money. A variety of sushi and meats, excellent service, and a clean/modern atmosphere all add up to a high final score in my book
