Name: Mom’s Touch – Shibuya
Ratings and Comments
Exterior – 3/5
Nothing particularly special, but it’s recognizable with their trademark yellow branding.
Interior – 3.5/5
The interior is actually pretty cool. There’s a lot of yellow and some stylish signage, making it feel almost like a concept store—especially when compared to the more standard Mom’s Touch locations in South Korea (I’ve visited a few there). There’s plenty of seating spread across the basement and upper floors, and the layout is well-organized, with clear placements for seating, garbage cans, and restrooms.
Menu/Price – 3.5/5
There’s a decent variety on the menu, with plenty of different sandwiches. However, unlike in Korea, this location does not offer bone-in fried chicken meals—just the sandwiches. The pricing is reasonable, though slightly higher than in Korea, but that’s expected given the prime location in the heart of Shibuya.
Drinks – N/A
I had a soda with my meal, but it’s not really worth reviewing.
Food – 3.5/5
The food was quite good and very comparable to my experience at Mom’s Touch in Korea. I ordered a Honey Garlic Thigh Burger set, which came with fries and a drink. The sandwich was delicious, with a crispy, juicy fried chicken thigh as the highlight. The fries were a bit on the limp side, but not enough to be a major complaint.
Staff – 3.5/5
You don’t need to interact with the staff much, but they run their assembly line like a well-oiled machine. The place was busy, yet orders were flying out quickly—credit to the team for their efficiency.
Restroom – N/A
The restrooms were too busy for me to check out. I know there are a couple in the building, but that’s all I can say for now.
Conclusion – 3.5/5
If you’re in the area and craving a chicken sandwich, Mom’s Touch – Shibuya is a solid option. Even during busy hours, you can likely find a seat, get your order quickly, and enjoy a well-made meal.
